LeVangie Law Group

Jeffery C. Long

After nearly 20 years of practice in California and Nevada I became the managing partner of LeVangie Law Group’s Sacramento and Nevada offices in 2019.  Along with my partners, associates and other team members, our goal is to continue the honest and straightforward, but aggressive, representation of all our clients that has made LeVangie Law Group successful over the years.

My practice focuses on insurance defense litigation, including civil trials.  I have worked with many of the biggest insurance companies and our representative clients span from small local businesses to large multi-national companies.  Whoever our client is at any given time, we strive to provide the best representation and legal advice possible.

Working with clients to learn what they want and develop a strategy to get the best possible outcome is something I started focusing on during my first legal job in law school.  While attending law school in New York City I volunteered to assist families who lost loved ones in the September 11th terrorist attacks.  This early exposure to confrontational litigation taught me the importance of working with my clients and not just for my clients.  Together my clients and I have been reaching our goals together for years.

After graduating law school and returning to California where I grew up, I began my career with a boutique insurance defense firm that over the years has become LeVangie Law Group.  Spending nearly 20 years with the same firm has allowed me to develop strong relationships with the firm’s clients while exploring new areas to strengthen my legal skills.

Throughout my years of practice I have gained valuable experience litigating in two states while expanding my skill set by participating in local bar associations, being an active member of insurance organizations like Claims and Litigation Management Association (CLM) and attending the Litigation Management Institute in Chicago in 2018 where I became a Certified Litigation Manager.

Some of my speaking engagements have included liability seminars for insurance company staff, presentations at the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA), conducting webinars and courses for California Clubs of Distinction, training sessions at the Athletic Business Conference and various other presentations requested by clients.

I also enjoyed giving back to the legal community through years of teaching as an adjunct professor with the U.C. Davis Paralegal Program and acting as a mentor for recently graduated law students.

When I am not practicing law I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, riding my bike and attempting to play golf.  I also enjoy supporting Northern California’s local breweries by enjoying fresh beers outside on their patios.
